Personalised Learning at Western Academy of Beijing with Education Perfect

article

The Western Academy of Beijing (WAB) is part of our Education Perfect (EP) international school community, and last month, Phil Jury, our solutions consultant, was invited to speak as a special guest!

In the latest episode, Kevin Crouch, WAB’s Head of EdTech, IT and Libraries and Ben Newman, WAB’s Head of Maths, discussed with Phil about how EP plays a big part in their initiative to implement personalised learning and offered insights into how WAB tailor learning for their students.

Here’s a little from Phil on what he found insightful to whet your appetite.

My favourite takeaway from the 20-minute discussion was the scope. I often find myself in scenarios where I’m either flying through blue skies but longing for some feet on the ground approaches or stuck in the muck of implementation and losing sight of those blue sky views. What Ben and Kevin managed to do was cover both in a short time period. We were able to speak theory, and immediately, Ben was able to offer practical elements that allow for the application of high-end ideas. So, in less than 20 minutes, you get pedagogical theory on personalised learning, tactics on how to apply this, and a specific tool that can help you do so.
