Learners of Indonesian will benefit from the full online course offered by EP Languages. With a programme suitable for use by students from Year 3 through to Years 12/13, EP Indonesian provides scaffolded learning of vocabulary and language structures within topic-based units. Each unit provides comprehensive practice in the key areas of listening, reading, writing and speaking and each unit is fully customisable, allowing teachers to make adjustments to suit their students.

An additional feature of the smart lessons platform enables teachers to also build their own lessons, using their own content. EP Indonesian supports the Australian curriculum.

EP Indonesian can also be used by young people to learn independently at home under the direction of their parents, who are able to assign tasks and track their children’s progress.

EP smart lessons provide clear information sections designed to teach the necessary vocabulary for each unit followed by automatically marked knowledge check activities. The instantaneous feedback enabled through automatic marking ensures students can monitor their own progress and then practice the different skills as required. Students are also able to work independently on their pronunciation and then compare their pronunciation to that of a native speaker.

EP Indonesian content is continually updated and developed in line with feedback and consultation guanranteeing the highest level of efficacy. EP Indonesian can be used to support classroom learning or by students who are interested in learning Indonesian outside of the school environment.

The EP Indonesian programme can be interchanged seamlessly between a traditional setting, a blended learning environment and a remote learning setting. It can be used to replace a textbook or alongside a textbook. It also works well as a tool for running a flipped classroom. Teachers can assign tasks to their students, which makes it easy for the students to find the lesson they need to be working on and also means that progress can be easily tracked and feedback can be provided.

There are a number of assessment options available within the EP Indonesian smart lesson programme. There are pre-built assessments which can be used as a pre or a post test at the beginning or end of a unit as well as formative assessments to assess students overall level. Additionally, EP Indonesian can be used to automatically assign remediation activities to support on-going student learning based on the results of assessments. Teachers are also able to create their own assessment tasks.

The EP Indonesian programme provides you with a number of teacher resources including listening transcripts, unit outlines, curriculum alignment documentation and ideas for implementing the platform.
