Learn Japanese

EP Japanese offers a complete, fully online course for learners of Japanese at a primary and secondary level. Key vocabulary and language structures are presented in carefully-scaffolded topic-based units, which give students ample opportunity for practice in the key areas of listening, reading, writing, speaking, script practice, grammar and vocabulary. All lessons are customisable and teachers are also able to create their own lessons.

EP Japanese is perfect for students from Year 3 to Years 12/13. The EP Japanese programme is aligned to several different curriculum prescriptions including the Australian Curriculum, the New Zealand Curriculum as well as to NCEA and the IB.

For Teachers

The EP Japanese programme, which can be used instead of a textbook or alongside one, can be interchanged seamlessly between a traditional setting, a blended learning environment and a remote learning setting. Teachers using a flipped classroom will also find it ideal. Furthermore, the platform allows teachers to assign tasks directly, making it simple for students to locate them; teachers can easily track progress and provide feedback as a result.

In terms of assessment, there are a number of options available including pre-built assessment tasks, suitable for use before or at the conclusion of a unit, as well as formative assessments to ascertain students’ overall level. Based on the results of an assessment, EP Japanese is able to automatically assign remediation activities to students, allowing them to review, practice and get up to speed in areas of weakness

Teacher resources to complement the EP Japanese programme , including listening transcripts, unit outlines, curriculum alignment documentation and ideas for implementing the platform, are also provided.
