Hi everyone! I was born in Bourges, right in the middle of France. I studied the history of arts and architecture. I worked for almost ten years as an architect in New Zealand before having two beautiful kiwis girls. On my second maternity leave, I was asked to teach French. It seemed pretty good and easy in my busy schedule. I have been teaching a vast range of ages and groups of students. And this was when EP appeared on my road three years ago!

What are you most excited about?

EP is organising a video competition for students at the end of the year. The first year I watched and marked them, they were all coming from New Zealand and Australia. But last year, I was amazed to see kids from Canada, Abu Dhabi, Mexico… It was great to finally have a window into the other side of the screen.

Why do you love working at EP?

Working at EP allows me to work on a variety of projects. You can see how I have created myself on an Illustrator Challenge!

Aside from that, I would say that I love my team: Ingrid, Kira, Maiko, Marco, Philippa, Sue, Suzanne, and Waad. They are all such lovely individuals and personalities. I am constantly learning from them.

What is your proudest moment?

Most people ask me why I left my position as an architect. I loved my work, but as I said, I accidentally started teaching French. It was hard to adjust my teaching to students: from babies, to retired, to one to one classes, to high school students.

One day, I was teaching one of my high school students who wasn’t interested in learning French. And I had to teach them something complex, like the subjunctive. I managed to teach it well to the student who looked at me with this magical spark in his eyes – he finally understood it!

And then, I was hooked. This moment made it clear to me that I must continue teaching.

Tell us about your pet(s)!

I recently introduced a new addition to my family: a rabbit. It continues to teach me how to communicate with other creatures around me!
