🧪🧑🔬 Science Activities At Home
In order to keep the students engaged with hands-on Science at home (or in the classroom), we have created a folder that specifically houses all of the Science Investigations across the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Earth & Space Science that require little or no equipment. Here are a couple of our favourites!
🧪 Explore the Speed of Sound:
The aim of this experiment is to measure the speed of sound in air.

🧪 Building Dichotomous Keys:
You can come across a lot of cool plants, bugs or animals in nature. But what if you come across one you’ve never seen before? How do you figure out what it is? This is where dichotomous keys come in handy!

New Intermediate (A2) Assessment tasks
We have just released the first phase of our new Intermediate assessment tasks for French, Italian and Japanese. These are a series of assessment tasks to go alongside our intermediate units which cover a large number of different curriculum requirements. Each assessment task contains reading comprehension, listening comprehension and a multimodal task assessing multiple skills in one task, all in authentic contexts. These are also coming soon for Chinese, German and Spanish.
New Authentic tasks:
We are very excited to have been working on some new Authentic tasks. These have been created to provide students with authentic contexts to use their language skills. Using Spelling Lists with Dash!
Using Spelling Lists with Dash. Spelling Lists are a great content piece to use with the Dash game within EP to get students to practice this important skill.
“”What is not assessed is not taught”. This approach is very critical for deliberate teaching and learning and the IB language conventions tests are extremely useful for this – to assess the overall English language competencies of the class, give individual data-driven feedback and construct future learning goals. I am a big fan of the said module.
I assigned the same to 2 sections of grade 6 and then converted it to a competition. My student engaged has peaked within minutes. I guess the word ‘competition’ always surges students’ attention and engagement”
– Prasanna V Peri from International School of Hyderabad

EP Team Spotlight: Adrian Banasik
Hi everyone! My name is Adrian. Ontario-based, I working alongside our Canadian team to build awareness of Education Perfect across the country.
Most of my time is focused on supporting the district school boards across Canada (some of which can have up to 250,000 students!), working alongside teachers as they explore our platform for the first time and building long term relationships within the school.
Working at EP is a blast. We’re learning something new everyday, either from the team or our customers.
In my spare time I enjoy playing hockey, reading, lifting weights, and – if I’m lucky – finding time to play some StarCraft.
