About the event
Foundational maths fluency gaps don’t announce themselves, they show up when you’re re-teaching fractions instead of covering the actual curriculum. In this in-person session, you’ll see Automaticity in Maths in action and learn how a 15-minute weekly routine can close the gaps that quietly slow down the delivery of new content being taught.
You’ll leave with:

Meet our speakers
Nada Ishak
Nada Ishak is a Maths and Science specialist with eight years of secondary teaching experience across biology, chemistry, and mathematics. She was always the colleague others turned to for support with technology and platforms, helping her department get the most from the tools available to them. That passion for supporting fellow teachers is what led her to Education Perfect, where she could do the same thing at a much greater scale.
As a Solution Consultant at Education Perfect, Nada supports educators in using the platform to strengthen their teaching practice. She is passionate about content creation and about equipping teachers with clearer insight into how their students are performing. Her guidance is grounded in real classroom experience and a thorough knowledge of EP’s tools and resources.
Stephen Fitzachary
Stephen has been with Education Perfect for the past 18 months, and has spent over 10 years helping customers and schools achieve great outcomes with the technologies at their disposal. Since joining EP, Stephen has loved seeing how consistent, targeted use of technology can drive real student improvement, ease some of the burden on teachers, and ultimately give students the confidence to tackle the areas they’ve always found hardest.
Ellyce Morse
Ellyce Morse is a maths specialist with twelve years of secondary teaching experience, five of them as Head of Department. She introduced Education Perfect to her own school and saw first hand how data-driven practices changed her teaching and lifted her students’ results. She wanted other teachers to have that same experience, and that is what brought her to EP.
As a Solution Consultant, Ellyce supports educators in getting the most from EP’s maths tools and resources. She equips teachers with the knowledge and confidence to use the platform in ways that strengthen their practice and improve outcomes for their students. Everything she brings is grounded in real classroom experience and a thorough knowledge of the platform.
Since October 2025, Nadia has been Senior Product Manager for Mathematics at Education Perfect (ANZ), where she leads product direction for EP’s maths offering, connecting her classroom expertise to tools that support teachers and students from Foundation to Year 12.
Christiaan Gscheidle
Christiaan Gscheidle has spent nearly two decades teaching and tutoring secondary mathematics, where he witnessed teachers reporting the same problem: students arriving at senior courses unable to perform core calculations quickly, accurately and confidently – spending their working memory on the basic fundamentals instead of the new concept in front of them – and teachers who could name the gaps their students faced but never had the time or resources to adequately catch them up.
Having seen this same issue across all sectors of Education, he designed Automaticity in Maths: a short, purpose-built assessment programme built on consistent, non-calculator practice across 14 fundamental topic areas, shaped and measured in partnership with his co-workers and the University of Queensland’s Science of Learning Research Centre.
Now in his seventh year at Education Perfect, Christiaan has rebuilt the programme to track curriculum codes, surface actionable insights, and offer immediate help through video tutorials and linked lessons. The result is a scaffolded journey across the middle years that commits the fundamentals to long-term memory – building confidence and freeing up teaching time in senior courses.

Nadia Abdelal
Nadia Abdelal is a mathematics educator, writer, presenter, and coach with a strong background in teaching and a deep passion for improving maths education. With nearly two decades of experience, she has made significant contributions to the field as a classroom teacher, consultant, and author of multiple mathematics texts and resources. Nadia specialises in the conceptual, contextual, and explicit teaching of mathematical ideas, with a focus on strengthening student understanding and supporting teachers with clear, practical instructional design. Her work spans primary and secondary contexts across Australia and New Zealand, including remote and regional schools, where she has provided tailored professional learning, curriculum support, and resource development.

John Davison
John Davison is a Maths and Science specialist with fifteen years of classroom teaching and twenty years of experience analysing and forecasting digital technologies. That combination means he understands what teachers need and which tools will make the biggest difference.
As a Solution Consultant at Education Perfect, John supports schools in using the platform to its full potential. He equips teachers with data they can act on and supports them in creating learning experiences tailored to their students. His guidance is practical, informed, and grounded in both real classroom experience and a deep understanding of EP’s tools and resources.
