EPeeps Sean Grouse | Partnerships Executive

G’day everyone, I’m Sean and my role is Partnerships Executive where I’m located in Sydney. I started at EP in December 2021, with this being my first job outside of University. My degree is in Commerce with a major in Marketing and HRM. I’ve now settled in nicely at EP where it’s nice to be able to see fellow EPeeps in person. Outside of work, my hobbies include DJing and football (the round ball). I run a dance music events brand with a few close mates and avidly support Liverpool in the EPL. I have 3 English Blue Staffies, which keep me pretty busy. I also do love a good TV series and must watch something each night before heading to bed.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

It’s quite a broad role meaning no day is really ever the same. There is always something new going on keeping you on your toes which is exciting and refreshing. It’s also great working so closely with a fantastic and supportive team.

How do you prefer to start your day?

It depends whether I’m working from home or in the office. If I’m working from home it’s with a nice cup of English tea and 10 minute sit down before I start work but if it’s in the office I’ll grab a coffee on the way and have a little walk to get some fresh air.

What is your proudest moment?

My proudest moment at EP would have to be the Sustainable Oceans competition doing so well. To be involved in this competition and seeing the high engagement and many positive pieces of feedback was a real joy. On a personal level, it would be my brand’s last event. We had over 400 people attending and everything went so well after a lot of hard work was put in.

If you could have been present at an historical event, what would it be?

Easy, Liverpool 2005 Champions League victory after being 3-0 down at half time. One of if not the greatest comebacks in football history. The atmosphere looked off the charts.

Tell us about your pets!

I’ve got 3 English Blue Staffies. 2 girls and a boy. The girls names are Sadie (6), Sofie (2) and the boy is Diesel who is just over 1. They all get on so well and love going for walks and snuggling into you when lying down.

What advice would you pass on to a younger version of yourself?

Everything happens for a reason. I’m a firm believer in this and it helps keep a positive attitude and mind frame when things aren’t always going your way.

Where is somewhere you’d like to visit?

I’ve been there before but without doubt Ibiza again. Every single night during summer there is an unreal atmosphere and the best parties in the world.
